Privacy: Referral Cookies and Company Request Forms

This site has no contact-details form. A first-party session cookie records a broad arrival category for referral links; company forms have their own privacy terms.

Who publishes the site

Gold IRA Kits is published by Lead Partner, a company registered in Norway (org. no. 926 580 094). We decide what this site collects and why. Send privacy questions to editor@goldirakits.com.

Information entered on this site

This site has no form that collects your contact details. Forms you see after clicking through to a company are on that company's site. Read that company's privacy policy and contact consent before you submit one.

We do not ask for account credentials or identity documents. Leave those out of any message you send us, including a correction request.

Messages you send us

If you email us, we keep your message and your email address so we can reply and keep a record of corrections. We keep them for 12 months, then delete them.

The referral cookie

On a landing page, a small first-party script reads the referring host and stores a broad category in the gik_channel session cookie. The categories are organic-bing, organic-google, direct, referral or unknown. It does not store the full referring URL or a personal identifier.

The cookie uses SameSite=Lax and applies across this site. It uses Secure on HTTPS. It has no expiry or maximum-age setting, so it is a browser session cookie; browser session-restoration behavior can vary. Internal navigation retains the original category. The redirect uses unknown when a valid cookie is absent.

You can block or clear the cookie in your browser. The articles and request links continue to work. There are no third-party cookies set by this site's code.

Referral labels and company forms

The /go/ redirect sends you to the named company with labels for this site, page and button placement. Goldco's labels include the broad arrival category. These labels do not contain contact details. The redirect code does not log IP addresses or user agents.

A company's site can process information under its own policy once you arrive. Our affiliate disclosure explains why the referral is attributed. We do not sell contact information collected through a form here because this site has no such form.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people read each page. Vercel is also our host, and its analytics script loads from this site's own address. When you click a Goldco or Augusta request button, the script records a go_click event with two labels: the company and where the button sits on the page. Neither label holds contact details.

Vercel describes the service on its Web Analytics privacy and compliance page. Each recorded page view or click may carry the time, the page address and its route pattern, the referring address, filtered query parameters, a location (Vercel's example shows country, state and city), the operating system and browser with their versions, the device type and the script version.

Vercel's list includes filtered query parameters, but we go further. Before a page view or click is sent, our page removes everything after a "?" or "#" from the page address it reports, so query strings are never recorded as part of our page addresses. If you mistype an address and land on our "page not found" page, the page view is recorded only as /404/, never the address you typed. The referring page, when you come from another site, is sent by Vercel's script as your browser reports it. Nothing is recorded on the /go/ addresses that our request buttons pass through.

Vercel says Web Analytics uses no third-party cookies. Instead it identifies a visitor with a hash of the incoming request and discards the visitor session after 24 hours. According to Vercel, recorded page views and events are anonymous: they are not linked to a person or an IP address. It collects no personal identifiers that follow you across other websites or apps, and the data is used only for aggregated statistics.

Hosting and server logs

Our host is Vercel. Like most hosts, it records technical details when a page or the /go/ redirect is requested: IP address, browser type, the address requested, the referring page and the time. We use those records only to run the site, keep it secure and fix errors. We are on Vercel's Pro plan with Observability Plus, and for that plan Vercel's documentation gives runtime log retention as 30 days.

Questions about this publication

Does this site have a form for kit contact details?

No contact-details form is present here. A request button takes you to the company, where its own form, privacy terms and contact consent apply.

What is stored in the referral cookie?

The first-party session cookie stores a broad arrival category. It does not retain the full referring URL, a phone number or a personal identifier.

Do request links stop working if I block the cookie?

The pages and redirects continue to work. Without a valid arrival cookie, the channel label sent by the redirect is unknown.

Does this site use analytics?

Yes. Vercel Web Analytics, from our host, counts page views and request-button clicks. Vercel says it works without third-party cookies. The Analytics section of this policy lists what may be stored.

How long are hosting logs and emails kept?

Vercel hosts the site; for our plan, its documentation gives runtime log retention as 30 days. Emails you send us are kept for 12 months, then deleted.
